The Country Tour Sponsored Ride will take place on Sunday 19th September 2021 at The Park, Brent Pelham, nr Buntingford, Hertfordshire SG9 0AN.
Riders wishing to take part will need to enter in advance as it will not be possible to enter on the day. We are now only accepting online entries and you can enter by clicking here. Entry fees are £30 per rider for 16 years and over on 19th September and £20 per rider for 15 years and under. This includes a £5 donation per rider to the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
Riders will need to chose whether to do the 12 mile or the 6 mile route. Both are clearly marked and there will be stewards on the route as well. The 12 mile route will contain numerous optional fences, of differing heights, all of which are easy to go round if you do not want to jump.
When you enter you will be asked to state a preferred start time between 9.30am and 12.30 pm. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
We will inform you of your start time by e-mail once you have entered online.
Riders may ride at their own pace, provided, of course, that they pay due respect to the other riders near them. We ask riders not to overtake others without asking, and to overtake slowly and considerately.
The route is manned with stewards at key points, to assist riders with anything they need and to check riders off as they pass.
An added attraction is the refreshment stop on the route.
There will also be food at The Black Horse, Brent Pelham, a short walk from the start/finish, serving locally sourced meat, tea, coffee and drinks.
There will be a photographer and photographs taken can be purchased afterwards from the photographer's website www.markdalton.zenfolio.com/ct
There will also be a first aider present all day as well as a vet on call.
The entry fee includes a minimum donation of £5 per rider which will be given to the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
In previous years you have all been very generous and have frequently given more than this minimum sum and we would encourage you if at all possible to do the same via their website (click here)
